Welcome to our campaign

Thank you for your interest in our campaign. It will be a campaign of issues and ideas.

Our website welcomes you to find out more about Dave and the reasons we need an experienced leader for justice as our next Northwestern District Attorney. Please consider being a donor, supporter, or volunteer. Together we can make our communities safer and stronger.

Bringing Justice to the Community

We can do more much more to help people in our community who need the District Attorney’ Office’s assistance.   Enhancing education and outreach opportunities with schools, law enforcement, family centers, senior centers, human service agencies, and community groups will help keep the promise of an accessible and responsive Office for all who need its assistance.

Additionally, we would create a Citizen’s Guide to the Office of the Northwestern District Attorney and improve and enhance the Northwestern District Attorney Website. Further, to be actively engaged in and expand DA Community Education and Outreach Programs.

In January 2009, we challenged the current DA’s Office to create a modern website to serve citizens.  We are pleased to say our idea  about a DA website was finally adopted in November 2009, a long time coming.  I promise to make a Northwestern DA Website user-friendly, modern and robust. Our website will serve to inform, assist and empower victims, citizens, and community partners.  Citizens would no longer have to travel long distances to get information or lack knowledge as to the services and programs available to assist them or a family member. I established a very successful website for Hampshire Probate & Family Court and would do so as your District Attorney.

We would also work create a Citizen’s Guide that would give every citizen an understanding of the services and programs of the Office and community.  We can better serve the public if citizens know our services and the many community resources to help individuals and families in our District. The Guide would also give citizens an active voice to address their needs and concerns.

A More Accessible and Responsive District Attorney Office

Photo of a Court Judge's gavel When a citizen enters the unfamiliar surroundings of the criminal justice system, it is more likely or not, that he or she is emotionally frail, without counsel, and feels completely overwhelmed and powerless. It is for this person, as well as every citizen of the Northwestern District, that the District Attorney and his staff can be a source of help, support and empowerment.

  • Support comes by treating each and every citizen with patience, compassion, and respect.
  • Help comes from providing effective assistance and strong advocacy on his or her case.
  • Empowerment comes from providing clear, current and accurate information.

In addition to maintaining a strong Victim Witness Advocate program, I am also fully committed to the Office improving its accessibility and responsiveness to your needs and concerns.
